How Many Hours does the Lenovo s10 have?

Q: How many hours do you get out of a 3 cell battery? And out of a 6 cell battery? Which do you think is better?

A: The 6 cell battery will provide you with a much longer charge. But depending on what the computer has in it such as the video card and how much power it uses determines how long it will last. The average time is about 2 hours in power save mode.

Q: I uploaded videos from my camera. They automatically went into iphoto. I tried converting the format to one compatible with imovie and it didnt work. im going insaneeeeeee. help???

A: Try this free, open source, highly regarded in the Apple community software. It is available for download from the site below or from the Apple software download site. It's only a very small file.
Once you have it downloaded, installed and open, just drag your video files in.
Then go to File > Export to QuickTime. Select the Apple Intermediate Codec.
Choose a folder/desktop location and once it's done, open iMovie and import it in.
You can also use it to convert YouTube or almost any format.

How do I know how many volts my socket will support? 10 pts!!?

Q: I am hopelessly trying to get my wall a/c situation correct, and I am just wondering if there is a way to tell the different between a 110v and a 220v socket (or whatever the 2 standard voltages are...)

I will surely award 10 points to the best answer, and check back to see if I need to provide you with additional information!!!

A: 110 and 220 plugs are different. And its amps when talking about load and ac units. Most 5000-12000 btu will run on a 110 outlet with a 20amp breaker. Bigger units usually need 220 and it should be stamped on the unit on a panel or near where the wire comes out of the unit. 220 plugs are on your dryer and stove if they are electric for comparison.

8) What, according to Atticus, is the one thing in the country that truly makes everyone equal?
9) Tom, stating that he felt sorry for Mayella Ewell, realizes he had made a mistake in doing so.
Scout comments that none of the spectators like his answer. Why was the statement a
mistake? Why did the spectators dislike it?
10) Scout accuses Mr. Raymond of being dishonest by pretending to drink when he doesn't. His
response is that it isn't honest but "it's mighty helpful to folks." Comment on both point of
views.
11) Mr. Raymond tells Scout that when Dill grows up, "he won't cry about the simple hell people
give other people - even without thinking. Cry about the hell white people give colored folks
without even stopping to think that they're people too." What is Mr. Raymond implying about
the differences between children and adults? Why does a child cry about an obvious injustice
that an adult can ignore?

How do I upload a complete movie onto YouTube? I need to upload them into 10 minutes segments but how to?

Q:I've seen others upload their complete movies in 10 minutes segments example : part 1 to part 7 of the movie. I want to know how to do that. Please give me a step by step instructions. Thanks.

A: Just figure ur time out that the movie is and use a movie editing program to make 10 min segments..... How do I edit my video?

Most computers come with some sort of video editing application already installed, such as Apple iMovie or Microsoft Movie Maker. Using these programs, you can easily edit your videos, add soundtracks, change the file type, compress the file size, etc.

There are also more advanced editing programs available for purchase or download online. We encourage you to look around and find the editing software that's right for you.....Youll have to read the help file in whatever program ya choose to use to find out how to do it....Once you break((EDIT)) the movie up into 10 min or less segments you just title each segment ((Example: Hercules and the fire god Part-1 and the next one in order of the film the same way only instead of part-1 ya put Part-2 and so on )) then up-load each to youtube.....OR you can read this....READ THE DESCRIPITON! -if you have a windows movie maker file (and if you know how to use windows movie maker) and cannot upload the video then read this it should be saved as a .wmv file then go to this url: If you have windows XP watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kRHP8... If you have windows vista then watch this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=5OlYRFGamFQ it should teach you how to make a windows movie maker project ( a .mswmmm) file into a .wmv file.

Why do onions make you cry?

Q: Why do onions make you cry?
A: It is not the strong odor of the onion that makes us cry, but the gas that the onion releases when we sever this member of the lily family.

The onion itself contains oil, which contains sulfur, an irritant to both our noses and to our eyes. Cutting an onion arouses a gas contained within the onion, propanethiol S-oxide, which then couples with the enzymes in the onion to emit a passive sulfur compound. When this upwardly mobile gas encounters the water produced by the tear ducts in our eyelids, it produces sulfuric acid.

In response to the caustic acid, our eyes automatically blink, and produce tears which irrigate the eye, and which flush out the sulfuric acid.

Another reflex to rid the eyes of a foreign substance, that of rubbing our eyes with our hands, often exacerbates the situation, because our hands are coated with the caustic, sulfuric acid producing oil from cutting the onion, which we then rub directly into our eyes.

Much to our chagrin, the only remedy for ridding the onion of its pungent, irritating oil is to boil it, not to slice it or dice it.

Tips for having a 70's party?

Q: I’m turning 14 in 3 months and i just need some good tips as far as decorations and stuff to do for a small group.

A: The early '70s perpetuated the lazy-daisy attitudes that blossomed in the '60s, while the latter part of the decade celebrated glittering disco clubs and tight leisure suits. Politics, anti-war sentiments and the continued persistence of the peace sign signified the '70s.

Decorate in '70s-inspired earth tones colors such as orange, yellow, brown and definitely the ever-addictive split-pea-green. Hang beaded curtains to add a little extra color and flair. Also be sure to have plenty of incense burning to really create a '70s atmosphere (something earthy like sandalwood or patchouli will make it feel authentic). As homage to the advent of the disco era, set up a rotating mirror ball that instantly turns any party into a dance party. Luckily, tabletop mirror balls are easy to find, so you won’t have to worry about installing it into your ceiling.

-orange fizz drinks
-disco balls
-strobe lights
-peace signs
-lava lamps
-flower garlands
-poodle skirts
-afros
-bell bottoms

-colorful streamers and balloons
-fairy cake
-posters
-beaded curtains
-blow up chairs
-tie die!
HOPE I HELPED GIRL:)

How can I download videos from youtube?

Q: I want to rip videos off youtube and don't know how to?

A: YOUTUBE TOOLS

Moyea Youtube FLV Downloader
http://www.video-to-flash.com/download-flv/

23 Ways to Download YouTube Videos

Web based

1. YouTubeX doesn’t have a lot of options, but it’s simple, and it works. It also enables you to share the YouTube video with your friends via e-mail. Unfortunately, all the files are called get_video, and you have to add the .flv extension manually.

http://www.youtubex.com

2. KeepVid is another simple site. No hassle, works not only for YouTube movies but for a number of other sites, including Google Video, MySpace Video, DailyMotion and others. Again, you have to add the .flv extension by hand.

http://www.keepvid.com

3. VideoDownloader is very similar to KeepVid, but supports even more video sharing sites, and it’s also available as a Firefox extension. Just like with KeepVid, all downloads are in .flv format. We recommend MediaCoder for free conversion.

http://www.video-to-flash.com//dvd_to_flash/

4. YouTube Downloads takes the cake in the longest domain name contest. It also separates itself by using a proxy for downloading videos, which means that you might be able to get videos even if YouTube access is blocked at your workplace or in the country you live. Just search Google for YouTube videos, and copy/paste the URL into YouTube Downloads.

http://www.video-to-flash.com/dvd_to_flash_converter/

5. Zamzar is an online file format conversion site which can do a lot more than just converting YouTube videos to another format and downloading them to your hard drive, but it’s doing a great job so we had to include it here. Thoroughly tested by us and highly recommended. See the video of it in action here.

http://www.zamzar.com

6. YouTubia separates itself from the crowd by enabling you to search as well as download YouTube files. Options are scarce, but it works.

7. VidGrab is another simple site that works with YouTube, Google Video, MySpace and Break.com. Besides the download function, the site also sports a top list of most viewed videos.

http://www.vidgrab.com

8. Vixy offers both downloading videos and converting them into DivX avi, mov, mp4, 3gp, or mp3 (for audio only) formats. The conversion works well enough, but sometimes results in slightly choppy playback.

http://www.vixy.net

9. Hey! Watch is an ambitious video encoding service with a large number of options, especially when it comes to converting videos to portable media player formats (it even supports my trusty iRiver H340.) Most online video converters often produce crappy results, with video and audio being out of sync, and this problem is also present on Hey! Watch, but it happens rarely.

http://www.heywatch.com

10. Media Converter can be a little slow, but the results of the video conversion are quite good. We’ve converted some YouTube videos to avi (mpeg4 + mp3) format and it worked well. The tool is not limited to video conversion; it also supports several audio and document formats.

http://www.mediaconverter.org

11. KcoolOnline is a web-based converter which supports 98 video sharing web sites, including YouTube. It has literally zero options, so it’s recommended for those who like to keep it simple.

Windows Applications

12. VDownloader is a desktop application that catches YouTube, Google Video, and Grinvi video links from your clipboard. Start it up, copy the video URL and click download. It automatically converts the videos to mpeg or avi formats.

13. YouTube Grabber downloads files from Youtube in .flv format. Copy and paste the URL of a video from YouTube into the program, press «grab», and the file will be downloaded into the same directory as the program.

14. Orbit Downloader is a desktop application which can download videos from a wide variety of sites. The download process is very simple, just hover your mouse over the video and you’ll get a button that says «Get It». The developers of the program claim that it’s very fast (up to 500% faster, they say) due to its P2P download technology.

http://www.orbitdownloader.com

15. My Video Downloader. With all these free tools, it’s actually funny to see a commercial one. It’s called My Video Downloader, and while it does look solid and offers a lot of conversion options (a free trial which enables you to download 10 videos is available), we’re not sure it offers enough to warrant a price tag.

http://www.myvideodownloader.com

16. KeepV is a desktop downloader as well as a converter, which can convert the downloaded videos from flv to avi, mov, mp4, or 3gp formats.

http://www.keepv.com

17. VideoGet boasts being able to download video clips from more than 100 video sharing websites. We haven’t tested all of them, so we’re just going to take their word for it. It’s a deskop application with a nice, simple interface, and a solid number of options.

21. YouTube Ripper is not actually an application; it’s a simple script that rips all videos that match a keyword, uploaded by a specific YouTube user. We don’t really have ideas on what to use this for, but maybe you do! PHP port is also available.

Stretch YouTube Videos
YouTube: Stretch YouTube Videos to Fit Your Browser Width
You already know about the Full Screen mode in YouTube video player
that scales the current video to fill the entire desktop screen.
The one big problem with full screen mode in YouTube player is that
you cannot do anything else on the computer while the video is playing
- you have the exit the FullScreen before initiating any other task.
There's however an excellent alternative to FullScreen and that's
about auto resizing the video player to fit the browser window. When
you resize the browser window, the dimensions of YouTube Video player
will change accordingly.
Here's how you fit the YouTube video in the browser window:
Say a YouTube Video URL is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr3x_RRJd...
To watch this clip in a resizable browser window without switching to
Full Screen, just rewrite the above URL a
http://www.youtube.com/v/vr3x_RRJdd4
In other words, just append the YouTube video ID to this URL
www.youtube.com/v/VIDEO_ID and maximize your browser. You can then
easily switch to other tabs, open new applications or do anything else
while the YouTube clip is still playing in the maximum possible screen
area.
[This is in response to a question posted on the forums - "How can I
send a YouTube Video so that when the person receives it there will
not be any other videos in the sidebars that can be opened." ]

What do you think about the live feature of one website?

What do you think about the live feature of one website? People can send an email or post a ticket to you when they visit your website. Spam has made email to be abominable and ticket often makes a great delay to your customers. Even more, some visitors almost can not send any message to the websites which have no email, no ticket, no forum, no bbs, nothing but only with bald html text. I have to shrug my shoulders that websites like this are DEAD ones.

You should make your website live right now. It's really important to listen to your customers and get feedback from them. Please add a forum or an email contact to your website at once. For more, I would like to suggest you add a web chat to your website. Web chat is an instant messenger tool for the website and it can help you interact with your customers easily. In a word, web chat can make your website LIVE quickly.

There are some webchats suitable for your website. I would like to recommend the AJAX webchat, Java webchat and flash webchat to you. AJAX chat is very lite but it always needs to request the server and this makes it delay in some degree. Java chat is powerful but it always needs to ask visitors to install the JVM plugin. Flash chat is the best one which is neither delay nor plugin installation, honestly, it need to install flash player but almost every personal computer in the world installs it.

I would like to introduce NestChat to your website because it is a flash web chat, more important, it is a video chat. There is a clean skin to it. NestChat can supply 23 languages to most websites in internet. You can get a quick look by the screenshots below,

video chat to a girl

chat rooms to defferent subjects

to view demo directly: http://www.convertdirect.com/

Some people want to complaint that to get and install this webchat are very difficult. I hate the difficulties. You can get it for FREE . It needn't be installed, you only need to add a html code to your website and it will be ok.

There are many ways to make the website live. To add a webchat is only one way to it although it's very available. I am not sure that NestChat is a better choice to you. You can try it and send a flower or a bad egg to it at the end time. But please think deeply about the "live" problem to your website; don't lose your loyal customers any more.

What is the title of a small business owner?

Q: I’m curious as to what the title of a small business owner would be. Particularly of a software development business. I know that for a company it would be something along the lines of director CEO but I don't know for a small business.

A: The answer to this question is so much fun that I have to tell you! You can call yourself anything that you want! When you are filling out the forms as an owner, many states list an option to have an owner's title! You can be called anything you want. CEO is normal, but you can be called the Chief or the Big Cheese! I knew a guy who liked the Flintstones a lot and wanted to have the title Grand Poobah of the Loyal Order of Water Buffaloes! It really depends on your preference. It is different when you become a corporation, but until then!! You don't actually have to have anyone call you by your title, you can just be the owner or president in your office, but on paper... Enjoy!

I'm looking for a different tasty Mexican dish to make for dinner tonight.

Q: I've made cheese enchiladas, tacos, and burritos. I want to make something different but can't think of anything. I'm also not a super talented cook or anything; I can cook pretty basic stuff. Any ideas?

A: Mexican Beef Chimichangas

Ingredients:
6 large flour tortillas
3 cup Mexican Meat Mix, (see recipe)
Vegetable oil, for frying
Shredded lettuce
1 cup salsa
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 cup Guacamole, (see recipe)
1 cup sour cream
6 ripe olives, for garnish

Instructions:
Warm tortillas in microwave about 30 seconds. Heat Mexican Meat Mix in a
saucepan. Heat a small amount of oil in a large skillet. Spread 1/2 cup
Mexican Meat Mix over the lower thrid of each tortilla. Fold the bottom
edge
of tortilla up over filling. Fold both sides toward the center and roll
into a
cylinder. Secure with a wooden pick. Fry 2 chimichangas at a time in hot
oil 2
minutes until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot over a
layer
of shredded lettuce. Top with salsa, tomatoes, Guacamole and sour cream.
Garnish each with an olive. Makes 6 chimichangas.

Mexican Meat Mix

Ingredients:
5 lb beef roast *
3 large onions, chopped
2 can (7 oz) green chili salsa
4 tbsp flour
1 tsp ground cumin
3 tbsp vegetable shortening
1 can (4 oz) chopped green chilis
1/4 tsp garlic powder
4 tsp salt
1 juices from beef roast

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees F. (95 degrees C) Place Beef roast (or
combination of beef and pork roasts to total 5 lbs) in a large
roasting pan or dutch oven. Do not add salt or water. Cover with a
tight lid and roast about 12 hours, or until well done. Or cook
roasts with 1 cup water in pressure cooker 35 to 40 minutes. Drain
meat, reserving juices. Cool meat, then remove bones. Shred meat and
set aside. Melt shortening in a large skilled. Add onions and green
chilies. Saute 1 minute. Add green chili salsa, garlic powder, flour,
salt and cumin. Cook 1 minute over medium-low heat. Stir in reserved
meat juices and shredded meat. Cook 5 minutes until thick. Cool. Put
about 3 cups mix into 3 1-quart containers, leaving 1/2-inch space at
top. Seal and label containers Mexican Meat Mix and freeze. Use
within 6 months. Makes about 9 cups of Mix.

For Grandparents- What cliques or crowds were present in your high school?

Q: I am doing some research for my Adolescent Development class, and I need to ask this question to grandparents. Since I have none of my own, I thought some of you grandparents may be able to give me some information. Thank you very much!

A: Well, I graduated in 1961. There were the black leather jackets and the girls who hung out with them were considered loose (w/o morals). Then there were the intellectuals; not necessarily popular, but the nerds would fit into this type of student. They always got A's and were the teacher's pet. There was the athletic and pompon girls who were considered the "popular"students b/c they always were coupled and "going steady." This was always shown by the guy wearing the girl's class ring on his pinky and the girls wearing the guy's ring either on a necklace or made smaller by winding tape around the back of the ring. (they were also the most likely to "go all the way.") Then, there were those who seemed to be able to fit in anywhere they wanted. They might be active in their church or synagogue, scouts, athletics, music, part time work, co-op program, or looking toward college (usually jr. college). This type of student didn't feel he/she needed to fit in or be categorized into one group or another. They just did their own thing. They followed the rules most of the time, got passing grades, and thought about preparing for a trade or college and profession. They respected their parents, teachers and most adults. They were a little shy about dating, but really wanted to go "out" with someone. Can you guess which group I was in?

How do you go about organizing all your "junk?"?

Q: Seriously...where do I even start? My husband and I have moved around quite a bit in the last 5 years we've been married (7 times to be exact). We have lived in our current house for the past 3 months, but do plan on moving as soon as our last house sells and we can buy a new house (we switched jobs and towns, so we own a house and rent a house).

My question is, we have a ton of boxes still laying around b/c we don't really know where to put the stuff. How do you organize all your odds and ends? The problem boxes have stuff like extra shoelaces, video games, alarm clocks, decorations, thank you cards (new), batteries, nail clippers, etc. We already have a "junk" drawer in the kitchen that is full (more batteries, screwdrivers, tape, pens, etc). How do I organize this stuff? Most of the stuff I don't want to throw away b/c we will use it at one time or another, but we just don't have a place for it...help please :)

A: I would suggest that you take a weekend to sort through everything and organize it by the room that would make the most sense to store it. For example, video games would go in the room with TV or computer, shoe laces in a closet where you keep your shoes, nail clippers in the bathroom, etc. Gather all the stuff together in the largest room and start making piles labeled Bathroom, Kitchen, Master Bedroom, Family Room, etc. Then you and your husband decide together where stuff should go. As you're sorting, maybe you can find some more things that you really don't need and you can just get rid of them.

Before you start putting stuff away, you need to organize your closets, cabinets, drawers, shelves, etc. You may have to invest some money in a lot of clear plastic storage containers, shelving, hooks, drawer organizers and closet organizers...and a label maker.

If you just don't have closet space, start hanging things on the walls. I bought an economy-pack of those Command Adhesive Hooks from 3M. I put them about 6 of them on my closet wall and that's where I hang all my purses. Or you could buy shelving and decorative fabric boxes. Put up the shelves and store the boxes in your bedroom or family room. Make sure you label them so when you go to find stuff, you don't have to pull every box off the shelf to find it.

If you don't already have one, you should get a desk with lots of drawers or a computer armoire with storage for all your office supply stuff (tape, pens, etc). A roll top desk that you can close, or one of the armoires that you can close the doors on are great. You can keep the inside as messy as you want and close the doors when you're not using it.

For screwdrivers and other tools, you should really have a tool box. We keep a medium sized one in the garage for the tools we don't use every day, but then I have a small box in one of our junk drawers where I keep a Phillips head, a flat head, a measuring tape and a small hammer for every day use.

Trunks are a great way to store stuff that you don't use that often and open up room in a closet where you can store stuff that you use all the time. Replace your coffee and/or end tables with storage trunks for games, video games etc. Put another trunk at the end of your bed for extra bedding and pillows.

If you have a set of luggage, don't let it go unused when you're not traveling. Store seasonal clothes in there--winter clothes in the summer and summer clothes in the winter. If you keep all of your clothes in your closet year round, it wastes a lot of space, especially the bulky winter stuff. I remember when I was a kid my mom would pull the seasonal clothes out of the attic and it was like getting new clothes every time!

It may cost some money to get organized, but it will be worth it. Check out deals at the dollar store for small, plastic containers, and hit up Wal-Mart, Target or even Ikea for the rest.

Lastly, organizing is not something you do once and forget about. You are constantly buying new stuff and you will constantly stop using other stuff. When we get busy we tend to throw stuff somewhere just to get it out of the way, and before you know it, that nice organized bathroom drawer is unmanageable again. Once or even twice a year take the time to reorganize everything. If you find that to be too overwhelming, then do one room every month and when you've done the whole house, start over again.

For Grandparents- What cliques or crowds were present in your high school?

Q: I am doing some research for my Adolescent Development class, and I need to ask this question to grandparents. Since I have none of my own, I thought some of you grandparents may be able to give me some information of DVD Converter . Thank you very much!

A: I went to a co Ed high school for three years, until I felt I'd had enough
of the cliques, and the snobs, and the geeks and the greasers, who
were the guys who were Elvis annexes'. I felt I wasn't getting enough
out of that school, due to the rating system going on DVD to Flash
. The highest
elevated group, we called, "the Soshes'(short for Socials). They were a definite clique. And they all lived in the same general neighborhood of high tax bracket homes at our end of town. They had to have the latest in clothes, the best looking boyfriends/girlfriends, and these were of the class that would have their noses done for their senior graduation present, if needed. The girls didn't have their own cars, so they made sure they had junior or senior boyfriends, who did, right from Freshman year on. You would see them driving down the main drag of our city on a Friday and Saturday night,in a continuous parade in shiny chromed cars of mostly by gone years. Some souped up, and decorated with flames, and other decals. They all had to be super shiny to reflect the theatre lights on Broadway as they drove by.
I don't believe any of them studied very hard, as they were always
out on school nights for a little while DVD to FLV
. The girls would congregate at
one friends house, and the guys, I suppose did too.
The rest of us had to study, to pass, since we didn't come from
the upper crust class of kids. No matter how good looking any of us
were. You had to come from the same background and have the money to be accepted, by those kids. And most of us weren't that
bothered. Unless one of the soshes' wanted to borrow free writing DVD to SWF

Paper from us, or wanted to copy our answers for a test. I remember
one of the more popular girls doing that with me. She shmoozed me
before the test, and any other time, she didn't give me the time of the
day. I let her copy that one time, and I took a barely passable grade,
by not putting down the right answers. She never looked in my direction again.
I fell into a middle group. It wasn't a clique, I was one of the inde-
pendants. One who did stay up with the trends but I didn't have a
wardrobe full, like the sosh girls apparently did. I had two up to date
outfits that appeared once a week and that was it. The rest were from
the previous school year, with some new accents. I had three close
friends, and later a boy friend who set tongues wagging when they
saw him. Luckily, he didn't go to our school. Which made him all the
more intriguing.
The nerds did have a small group. I'd see them in the cafeteria, or
in study hall. Or up in the projection booth helping with a movie or
something. Or they were in the band room. They seemed to be cut
out by the same cookie cutter. Wearing plaid flannel shirts in the
winter and fall and spring.Always buttoned down at the wrist. And most seemed to wear glasses. Though I did also. But I was a geek
or a nerd.
The geeks, were below the nerds. And they were more childlike in
their personalities. More like 6th graders, who were in no hurry to
grow up. They weren't into dating, or being with girls. They just were
there.
And the greasers, wore their leather jackets all the time. They wanted to look cool always. They had the greased down duck tails
folded in perfectly in back. One would walk with a toothpick in his
mouth to the side. He had a coil of a curl down on his forehead, like
John Travolta wore in Grease. And the sides were slicked back over
the ears. These were the boys, who smoked before and after school.
They thought that was a cool thing to do also. They were the sleepers
in class at the back of the classrooms in the last row. They didn't
study in study hall either. I guess they all thought they'ed be great
car mechanics some day, since they loved to work on their cars and
keep them hopped up and cool sounding, with their glass packed
mufflers, that were really noisey.
There was also a very small group of those preppy types. They
were the cheer leaders, and pep squad. All pom pom carries at all
the football games. They were mostly to themselves as if they were
kings and queens of some high royal order. If they hung around with
anyone else, it was someone from the sosh's group.
I chose to finish highschool at an all girls school that had college
prep classes available. At the time, I was interested in becoming a
nurse, so I found the classes necessary there. I had finally found my
true niche there. And met another great boy from that had gone to the
all boys school nearby. I had more fun in my senior year, than my
previoius three at the other school. And I actually learned more than
I ever dreamed I could. We all seemed to be of the same thought,
we wanted to learn and apply it to a vocation some day soon. And
some of us did and some of us didn't as I was later to learn.

What can grow in a hanging planter?

Q: I would like to have a garden , but my two dogs would trample it when they are outside playing. I want to make salsa this summer so I would like to grow ingredients. Can everything that I want to grow survive in a hanging planter that is hung from my patio? I want to grow tomatoes
, jalapenos, bell peppers, and cilantro. Thanks for your help!

A: You can grow all off the plants you listed in hanging pots. I do it off my patio each summer and call it my salsa garden.

Start by drilling a 3/4" hole in the center of bottom
of the pot. Hang the pot, and insert a Tomato plant upside down into the bottom of the pot. Gently pack dirt around the tomato root, and then fill with a good potting soil. In the center of the pot plant a pepper plant and then a cilantro plant near the edge of the pot.

At first the tomato will grow sideways and try to grow up the side of the pot. As it gets larger, it will start to hang down and get bushy. Early Girl Tomato or Cherry Tomato
work best.

As the Cilantro matures, clip with scissors to slow the Cilantro going to seed. When the Cilantro is mature, plant a seed on the other side of the pot to ensure Cilantro all summer. Repeat on all four sides as needed.

What are good ways to transfer from co sleeping to their own bed?

Q: My son is almost 7 months old and within the next few months we'd like to begin to try to persuade him to sleep in his own crib, which is in our room. Not because I don't enjoy co sleeping but because it's getting mighty uncomfortable for all of us and with the weather getting hotter, the baby getting bigger it seems that our full size bed isn't very full at all, in fact it's tight and cramped and really really hot for all of us. We use the AC, we use fans in the room and very little bedding however it's just not working and none
of us are getting much rest because of this. What are some good ways to transfer him in a nurturing, loving manner to his own crib (it will be right next to our bed at night). I'm not willing to let him CIO so please don't suggest that. Thanks in advance.

A: Cuddle Caleb to sleep in a chair or in your bed as usual. Once he's out (really out, not fake out like they like to do), move him into his crib. One of the things I do is I tuck my housecoat into his crib or cover him with it so he still has my scent (nice scent, not smelly).

Next step? Listen well to his cries. If he cries to eat, feed him. If he cries for a quick snuggle, give him one. If he just moans and groans leave him, and if he has that wimpy, sleepy cry, give him a wiggle while he's still lying down (you can also try a quiet, soft nighttime musical toy for him - we use one and it's great!). Every time he wakes up, handle it. If it happens 10 times - and it will some nights, just meet his needs, and then put him into the crib.

It may take 2 days, it may take 2 weeks, but he will get used to it. BUT - here's the hard part. Once you're committed to making this move, don't bring him back into your bed with you to actually sleep. What that will do is teach him that it's attainable. So, for the next while, it's not attainable for him. And it's imperative that there is consistency with it. Now, this is tricky, because it's sooo much easier to nurse him in bed right? You still can, just put him back in his crib once you're done. Good luck not falling asleep!

Or, you can buy a king-sized bed (always good to have options, eh?!)

I put a link in to the little nighttime toy we use for Jakers - I have to say, it is amazing and much, much better than the Glo-Worm. Our little guy will actually turn it on himself at night now; it is so cute!

I hope this helps hon! Cheers to sleeping more than 4 hours at a time without baby feet in your side (be prepared...you're gonna miss him and want him cuddled up with you...uh oh!).

*Edit
Shirley? Who's Shirley? She sounds like a sexy genius! Hardy har!

You know, it's really not bad once you get used to the maternal guilt and missing him. Youch! Really, though, you still snuggle, you nurse, there's still tonnes of love, he's just in his crib for the heavy parts of his sleep. Besides, that way you can wake up to see his bouncing and smiles at the side of the crib - your heart will just melt!

And, once he has it down pat and he's a little older, you can get those little naps with him again!

How to keep videos with songs on youtube without copyright infringement?

Q : I've uploaded 2 video art pieces with songs (one by Nine Inch Nails, one by Queens of the Stone Age) in the background and it tells me they're rejected because the audio. But how do other people get away with uploading commercial audio?

A : I regret to inform you that any music which is not your creation
and used as part of your video is indeed copyright infringement.
Companies like UMG, Warner and Viacom not only "own" their
music, they also "own" the rights to them, which include how
and where the music can be publicly presented and performed.

Thus they would be 100% within their rights to claim the music
in your video as their own -- especially if you didn't seek written
permission or licence to use it and "broadcast" it over YouTube
.
They could easily and legally YouTube
YouTube
YouTube
YouTube
YouTube
YouTube to take your video
"off the air" (potentially banning you) for any number of reasons:

1) If you used "their music", it is considered part of the famous
sentence "unauthorized duplication, whether in whole or in part,
without the expressed written consent
of...." Their fear wouldn't
just be about you, but also other people who could conceivably
download, copy or listen to that music without having bought it.

2) You are potentially lessening the value of "their property" by
presenting and "broadcasting" it in a bad-quality, tiny 4x3-inch,
poor-resolution, mono-sounding and possibly
amateurish video.

3) They may think your video makes "their property" look either
bad, cheap or unappealing to someone who could otherwise be
considering purchasing "their music".

4) They could also be thinking that anyone's memory or mental
image of "their music" could forever be "haunted" by images of
your video or your YouTube channel if they feel it's in bad taste.
You may involuntarily be "defaming" the artist and/or the music.

Even if you've given due credit on your video to the music label,
the artist or the music itself, that should never be construed as
a validation, excuse or justification for you (and really YouTube)
to "break the law". You can always claim that your video is "for
personal use only", but then they could come back at you with
some interesting questions: A) why did you upload the video to
YouTube, B) why did you "steal" the artist's music, and C) how
did you acquire that music? (note: Even if you bought it legally,
that doesn't give you blanket permission to use it "willy-nilly" or
however you like, as though you're a legal representative of the
artist.)

As for the other people who may be uploading the same music,
either YouTube will get to them eventually or somebody who is
jealous will "flag" their video. If you're willing to take the chance
and reupload your video with the same music, avoid writing the
name of the song or the artist in either your title, description or
tags. Also, don’t use sentences like "no copyright infringement
intended", "I do not own the song" or "I don't take any credit for
this music". YouTube's computers search for phrases like that.

You should also bear in mind that the music-recording industry
is beginning to implement the use of inaudible "watermarks" or
"fingerprints" hidden inside their music, in order to uncover and
identify their illicit use. As such, it's conceivable that no matter
how many times you upload your video, it'll always be rejected
because of copyright reasons. You'd thus probably have to find
a different recording of the music you would want to use. If you
noticed other videos using the same music, they were probably
uploaded before this new technology started coming into being.

The only possible exception to everything I just wrote is for you
to use music that is less than 30 seconds long. If you listen to
any talk-show on radio or TV, they will never play or use music
longer than 30 secs during a guest introduction or segué going
into and out of commercials. Guess what the reason is.
