How to get avi movies from pirates bay to play in my blackberry?

Can you download a codec into the blackberry (how)? Or do you really have to convert every AVI to Flash or to other formats through a long process?

This post borders on the illegal so I am going to assume the files you are downloading are legal trailers, not that it make a difference but it satisfies the not illegal rules of these boards.

First step is to make sure you have the proper codecs installed on your machine. You should be able to view the video with no problems on the machine that will do the conversion. If you cannot see the movie, you cannot convert it.

After you have those files you grab super. It’s free and it does the job well. The link is below. It’s pretty easy to use, find the file set the options and click convert.

These are the optimal settings for your video:
Output Format – MPEG4
Video Size – 320×240 or 240×260 for the BlackBerry 8100 Pearl
Video Bitrate – 400K
Audio Codec – MP3
Audio Bitrate – 48K at 22khz or 44khz (Personally 22Khz works fine)
Video Frame Rate – 30fps works fine but 24fps seems to be faster

Copy the file to your media card using BB Desktop Manager media app or enabling mass storage device on the unit and copying it to the mounted drive.
